In February 2022, the board of directors of Alphabet Inc. decided on another split of shares in the proportion of 1 to 20. The last time the split occurred in 2014, when the value of securities exceeded $1 000. Then the shares were divided in a ratio of 2:1. Since then, the value of a single share has already crossed the $3 000 mark in 2021 and is currently worth over $2 200.
The upcoming split will definitely attract a new wave of investors to one of the hottest tech giants in the world. After all, one Alphabet share will become 20 times cheaper! The split will take place on July 15, and from July 18, trading on the #Google instrument will open at a new price.
Please note that on July 15, 2022:
- the #Google shares will be in Close only mode;
- all open positions on #Google must be closed no later than 22:55 server time in accordance with clause 10.7 of the Regulations for trading operations;
- the remaining open trades will be forcibly closed by the company at session closing prices.
